Hi Chandra,

Thanks a lot for you clarification. I appreciate your are the first person clearly & explain this. However I want to ask what is the difference between this two link :

http://<>:XXXX/ipc/xcm/init.do

http://<>:XXXX/ipc/ipc/init.do

Do we need this ports configured in case if we want to use B2B or B2C scenarios based pricing need to be done. That means using external Web shop connected to CRM. So if we want to obtain price information from when placing the sales order in Webshop , do we need this links to be active to get the price directly from IPC JAVA. Instead of calling CRM and simulating the sales order and get the price thro some FM or BAPI.

So do we need to install JAVA server along with ABAP stack. Is my understanding write. Basically I am bit confused with IPC , JAVA , ABAP things. In my company our Basis team did not install IPC JAVA server due to cost. When we try to access http://<>:XXXXX/ipc/ipc/init.do , it gave error message. When I went and checked with basis team they told me that they installed ABAP stack of CRM only. They started asking why I need JAVA side , since IPC is moved under ABAP stack and working fine when I place sales order in CRM. So I could not able to justfiy them why I need IPC JAVA part , I am try to read thro the installation guide. I am not able to get direct answare for this.

I am sorry to confuse you. I hope you understand my confusion now. I hope you can clarify issue.

Thanks & Br

mathi
